Hi everyone,
My new "D" arrived today, 10 minutes after I left for work to put in a 10-hour shift. So I had to wait till after 10 pm to put it together. From start of assembly to formatting log card and rowing, it took 16 minutes. Assembly was very straight-forward. I haven't yet gone over it with a fine-tooth comb as far as finish, etc, but will when daylight is streaming through the window.
On the damper's 5 setting, the drag is right at about 120, which is on par with what I'm used to on the "E" models at my YMCA where I work. When I first started rowing on 5, it felt like the drag was stronger than the "E's" at work, but displaying Drag Factor showed they're very near the same.
Maybe due to late and long day, it's me that has the drag factor...
Now to figure out how to hook up that C-breeze contraption, Paul...
Then get the RowPro softward demo going...
A fun weekend ahead, and I don't work tomorrow!
Have a great weekend, all!

I know the feeling. My new Model D showed up at home about the time I walked into work. Even worse I had to stop by the store for milk and the such on the way home. It was about 1AM when I got mine together and started rowing.

I think the UPS guy hides behind the bushes and as soon as he sees you leave for work, he rings the doorbell! Fortunately for me, my husband was around to receive the delivery. Otherwise it would have been left with my 83-yr-old neighbor.

Mine's going real well, and I got RowPro demo going just fine and am learning to use it.

Thanks for posting!

My wife was home and got the UPS driver to carry it into the house for her. My 5 year old son was nice enough to open the box for me but couldn't get the parts out of the styrofoam.

I had a hard time finding the log card and chain oil but the assy. was a snap.

I haven't tried the RowPro. Is the demo limited to one user?

Thanks for congrats, John! It's really nice and I'm glad I finally just broke down and got a new one. I like very much being able to just get on the thing and ROW when it fits my schedule instead of having to try to get on one at the Y when they are so often both occupied.

About RowPro VCSVBB: What I have discovered so far is, yes, the demo:
1. is limited to one user though others can row as "guest."
2. you're allowed to use the training plan feature only twice
3. there's another feature, I can't remember off the top of my head right now, that you can use, I think, 10 times only, BUT if you email them and tell them you need extensions because some of those uses got wasted in the learning and boo-booing, they'll give you more. Can't remember exactly; I read it in the "Help" topics.

So far the RowPro software itself has worked absolutely seamlessly, glytch-free with my Dell notebook computer. The only thing is that when you are finished using it, you do need to EXIT the program completely or when you come back the next day the PM twin (the monitor emulator) doesn't work on date-related features, such as rowing a RowPro Training Plan piece, since it's date-related.

Have a great day!

Nice a new erg! Congrats and I know you will have lots of fun with it  :)

RowPro is great. It's very motivating to row online!
