My "D" is due to arrive on Friday. I am getting its space ready, and wonder what others might recommend for putting under the erg. The floor has nice cushy carpet on it. I was wondering about:
1. Rubber-backed little carpets that go on the floor in the rear passenger seat of a car, such as the inexpensive after-market ones from car parts stores.
2. A 2x8 feet piece of MDF or plywood-type board.
3. Rubber car mats, rather than carpet ones.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Also, my C-breeze shipped out today too -- I'll be all fixed up! My question is, is it practical/quick/easy to pop a C-breeze off and on so that I can use it at home and also take it to my Y when I want to erg there and also let my erging buddy use it when I'm not using it? Or is that not practical?

There is likely to be perspiration dripping at some point, so while carpet makes for a good surface for the feet of the machine, you may want something that goes from the foot stretcher to the back feet and is as wide as your elbows. I use a towel even though the machine is on a interlocking rubber padded surface over hardwood floors just so I don't have to wipe up the floor.

The CBreeze, when fitted to a Model D is not particularly convenient to remove and replace, but if you get a pair of cord toggles to use instead of having to retie the knots it can be doen resonably quickly. But hey, what am I saying?!, you need to collect all 4 colors anyway.

Get two C-Breezes. Leave one on your machine at home and take the other to the Y. That way you won't have to mess with the one at home.
Better yet try to get the Y to buy one for their machine, or see if they will let you leave yours on the machine.

Thanks friends for the advice. I do drip when I erg for more than 15 minutes, so the floor's surface is a concern. I am planning anyway, when I can get around to it, of taking up the carpet, laying wood laminate flooring in that room so I can better do my Pilates/yoga stuff, then will need to think of a rubber mat, "puzzle pieces," and the towel to absorb too.

If I put a C-breeze on an erg at the Y, I'll have to buy one for each of the 2 erg's. And a spare for if something happens to one. Along with mine at home, that would total 4, so Paul would get his suggestion met for buying all 4 colors!

And... I'd have to save up AGAIN for RowPro, having spent it all on C-breezes!!!

My "D" is supposed to arrive tomorrow, so I'd better get that wall space cleared up!

I would take the c-breeze to the Y, show the staff how it works and push them to buy a couple. A little extra pushing on the staff from the other erg users would help in this regard.

Days are getting hotter so I finally ordered myself one today.
