Folding Up a C2

Hi folks,

I'm thinking about buying a C2 Model D, but my biggest concern is its storeability/foldability. I live in a slightly cramped one-bedroom apartment, and (while I know I have the available footprint to use it) the only way I'd be able to use it is if I unfolded it for a workout and re-folded it and put it against the wall afterwards.

I've seen on the C2 Web site that one can indeed fold it up, but seriously, is anyone on this forum doing that, and if so, how easy/difficult is it to fold and unfold?

Thx! :-)

If it's like my Model C, the solution is to flip it up vertically for storage. I do that all the time, and it takes just a few square feet of floor space. Flipping vertically takes just a second; taking it apart is much slower.

Flipping it up vertically works if your ceiling is high enough and the frame lock is engaged. Breaking the erg in two is a little tricky at first, but once you learn the move it takes about 15 seconds to either take it apart for storage or reassemble for use. C2JonW

Just out of curiosity I got a timer out, started it, then took my "C" out of the corner, put it together, sat on it and locked it. Then I broke it down and stood it back up in the corner. At a normal pace it was 56 seconds.

I have one of the newer model Ds and it's fast and painless to take it apart or snap it back in place.

Concept2 has video here so you can see for yourself what the connection involves:
