Any other options on hrms w/PM3?

Post by uansari1 » May 25th, 2008, 6:31 pm

Hey guys,

New to the forum and recently purchased a model D w/PM3. I was wondering if there are any other options for an HRM that can interface with the PM3, or am I limited to the Polar available on the website?

Thanks,

Usman

The PM3 can only work with Polar compatible HR belts when you connect the HR interface receiver on the long cable. You're not stuck with Polar, any Polar compatible belt will work.

PM4 supports that HR interface and will work with ANT digital HR belts (Suunto, Garmin).

See http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... =1&t=16845 for a recent discussion on this topic.

But you can use any model Polar Watch, with or without bells & whistles, sold by anyone.

Thanks for the responses guys... I think I may just get the monitor/interface wire combo from C2.

That's what I did and I've use the same interface with 3 different Polar chest transmitters with no problem other than an occasional drop out for a few seconds.

I'm using an old Nashbar heart rate chest strap that I bought about 10 years ago, it works great with the PM3.

Ah yes, but there is nothing on the Nashbar unit to say it's Polar compatible, so I was pleased to see that it worked.
