Mystery Workout?

Post by ckaiserca » May 14th, 2008, 5:06 pm

I downloaded the new version of the Logcard Utility today. When I went to upload my workout to my online logbook, I was told that there were errors on my card and that I should rewrite the card. I did this, and when the card was read and I went to check the workout to upload there were two 14,000+ workouts listed for May 13. One had the correct number of meters and the other was shy by about 100 meters.

Any idea of where this "extra" workout came from?

There have been errors in the PM3 firmware in the past that would damage the data stored on your LogCard.

V6.2 of the utility has the logic to repair all known errors. For unknown errors it will ask permission to send a *.LCB image of the data on the card to Concept2. The repair has been in the utility for a while - it's fixed my card on a few occasions.

There's 32K on the card, it's just ones and zeros. Hopefully the utility can put them back in the right order. Sometimes it will produce a quirky rogue entry.

Thanks! I figured that it must have something to do with the errors on the card. In fact, now that you mention it, I was asked to send data to C2 for analysis too.
