rattle at low rpms

Post by wjtaylor » December 30th, 2014, 3:39 pm

Model D making a rattle and vibration when the fan slows down to low rpms. Is this normal? It was put away for a few months. When I started using it again, it started making this noise.

Thanks,
WT

Put a tiny spot of grease in the one way clutch bearing, you need to remove the flywheel by holding it from turning and use a 9/16" socket on the nylock nut.

Inspect the shaft the bearing is running on for uneven wear or corrosion.
