I use a paper towel and few drops of mineral oil from the grocery.

Should wipe down the rail after every workout. A damp cloth works fine for me. If the rollers under the seat start looking funky, wipe them down too.

...because if you do leave it long enough...you need a power jet to sort things out!

I just shoot some Windex on it and wipe with a paper towel.

I use a solution of water and simple green. I have the spritzer and cloth, which I change fairly often, next to the C2. I clean the rails and rollers, as well as the handle and seat, after each use. The rollers underneath don't need quite as much attention, but it's good to clean them. It only takes a few seconds. The rails and rollers look like new after millions of meters. Before I had my own C2, I used to clean the handle before using the C2, and clean the rails, rollers, seat, and handle after use at the gym. If you erg at a gym and the gym doesn't provide cleaning solutions and cleaning cloths or paper towels, you can bring your own.
