PM5 missing workout details?

Post by NHANORAK » December 25th, 2014, 6:10 am

Just had a new C2 with PM5 monitor delivered a few days ago. I set myself up as a user on the USB stick. After it confirmed my user name on the PM5 monitor in the top right hand corner, I rowed a session. Stopped after 2k and after around 30 seconds to a minute Iremoved the USB stick. Downloaded the C2 utility software to my PC and then placed the USB stick in a USB port. No details of the session I had rowed seemed to be on the USB stick.

Rowed again yesterday and I still couldn't find details of the session I had rowed when I plugged in my USB stick to my computer.

2 questions.

Do you need to wait a certain length of time after completing a row for it to be saved to the USB stick, or press a button or something?

Where would/should the new workout data be shown on the USB stick? i.e. under what file heading?

Many thanks for any help and happy festive rowing. :P

Did you download the latest software for the C2 Utility version 6.80 from the C2 website? If so, perhaps you should try a new USB stick. C2 had issues with some of the ones they supplied with PM5-equipoped rowers, from what I've heard.

Check if the workout is on the rowers memory - and if it is, there is an option in the menus to transfer it to the usb stick. When the stick is not fully plugged in, the workout gets recorded to the rower- this is what I noticed. And when the stick is in, there is an option in the menu for the usb logbook.

And for your other question: there is a message on the monitor when you finish rowing which tells you that it is transferring the data to the stick.

See the following for an explanation on how to save workouts to the PM:

http://www.concept2.com/service/monitor ... ce-monitor

At the end of an undefined length piece, such as a Just Row, pressing the "Menu" button will end the workout, log the information to the USB stick, and return to the main menu. If you don't press a button, the workout will be logged to memory just before the monitor times out/shuts down.

Emm is correct that the workout should be in the rower's memory. From the Main Menu, navigate to USB Logbook -> Logbook Utilities -> Move Workout

Thanks a lot guys, you are right they are indeed logged in the C2 rowers memory and not on the stick. I'll press the memory button after rowing next time, so hopefully that solves the problem.

I will attempt to transfer the data over tomorrow. The C5 memory is certainly an upgrade on old models.
