What would be an inexpensive but reasonably good camcorder or digital camera to make videos?

I'd like to get one to make 7 to 10 minute videos, and also for uploading to youtube and places like that.

Most digital cameras can generate the video for YouTube that you want. Although memory stick/SD/CF capacity will limit the length.

A modern camcorder with direct to DVD-R (DVD-RW) recording has nearly limitless capacity (compared to a digital stills camera doing video).
