Hi all, after years of wanting one I finally picked up a decade-old Model C. It's in pretty good shape, but the damper doesn't stick. Sorry in advance if this has been covered, I tried searching the forum and looking on the website.

The damper's the piece of plastic that covers up the fan to give less or more resistance per stroke. It'll only stay where I put it if I leave it on 10. It might stay initially at one of the other settings, but it'll fall to the bottom after a couple minutes rowing. Rowing on 1 is great, but I imagine it'll limit my training pretty quickly. Are there instructions anywhere on what I need to do in order to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help.

Give C2 a call, they've got a couple little plastic buttons to send you that will fix your problem right up. In the mean time you can use a binder clip or a piece of tape to keep the lever from falling.

You can put layers of duct tape under where the lever slides and this will keep it in place.

Another solution is to take the cover off and replace it so the lever is on top.

I did both of these with the model C and both worked.
