No HR readout on PM3

Post by M_Keating » September 12th, 2007, 10:12 pm

I got on the erg today for the first time in a long time and I have no HR readout on the PM3.

I do have a readout on my wristwatch, so I know that the strap is working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

I duct taped a piece of pvc sticking straight up from the front middle of the handle then wrapped the wrist receiver around this.

After using the monitor, I removed the pvc, made an angled cut so the wrist receiver lays at an angle, and replaced it on the handle with the duct tape.

I have used the monitor quite a few times this way and either way works quite well.

Make sure that the plug to the monitor is in all the way. One time when mine did not register anything, I found that the plug was just a couple of millimeters short of being pushed all the way in.

Also, make sure that there are no other appliances around that might cause interference with the radio signal.
