PM5 Will not turn on after firmware upgrade

The rower worked fine yesterday.

I guess the new firmware was loaded on my factory provided usb stick when I uploaded my workouts last night. Tonight I inserted the stick, in my brand new Model D, it asked me if I wanted to install the new firmware, I did. Some of the last info I saw on the screen said installing some bin file and was at over 300 percent complete when it went black. It's been about 20 minutes now and still has not come back. Support line is closed for the day.

I have exactly the same problem with the firmware update I tried to do today. I would be interested to know how you solved your issue.

I've tried a hard reset, removing the batteries, downloading the firmware update again to the USB key... no luck!

I'd be interested to hear how you resolved this issue, as I've got the same thing after updating the firmware this morning.

Oops, sorry, when the first reply did not work, I thought I'd done something wrong and reposted... Please ignore.

I was a bit apprehensive when I received the firmware upgrade notice after reading these posts. I proceeded anyway and the upgrade installed normally, but it wasn't quick. I made sure not to touch any buttons until the cycle completed itself; it performs several checks after installation. No information was lost from memory.

Does anyone know what this firmware upgrade is supposed to remedy or improve?
