What kind of manitance should I do on my used model D?

Will motorcycle chain lube work? is is that a no go?

We have a very clean, odor free 20 weight mineral oil that we send out with every machine. 20 weight motor oil or common household 3 in 1 oil will also work. Many chain lubes are primarily cleaners/solvents that leave little behind in the way of lubrication. For this particular application 20 weight oil has proven to be the best performer. C2JonW
