Clearing memory in a PM3

Hello.

Is there a way to clear the memory in the PM3 without taking the battery out for 30 minutes (as the manual states)?

I did notice that putting the log card in, changes the menu to access the log card rather than the internal memory, but I would still like to clear the internal memory.

Thanks, Marvin

Good question. I'd like to know that too.

If you only have a few entries on the pm3 to delete, this works: Put a log card in & select "logcard utilities" then "move workout." That option moves the workout from the pm3 memory to the logcard. Next, select "logcard utilities" then "delete workout." You can delete the workout(s) you just moved.

Seems like the long way around to move to the card first. But I've found no way to delete a workout directly from the pm3 memory. If there is a lot of workout data to be deleted, pulling the battery might be easier.

Try the reset switch.

It's a small hole on the rear left side of the monitor, on PM3 it's just big enough to get an unfolded paperclip or pin into the hole. It can be hard to find the hole - look carefully.

One PM4 they've improved the design and it's now the right size for a ball-point pen.

Skip - Thank you! Your idea worked and now the memory on the PM3 and the log card match.

Thank you, Skip and Dougie.

This worked for me too.
