Erg goes walkabout

Post by simonJ » January 25th, 2007, 4:49 am

Hello,
Whenever I push it real hard on my C2 it moves forward; after each workout I have to put it back in its place. I'm thinking about getting a couple of ant slip mats to put underneath the rests of the rower, I'd like to know if that would work or if there are other solutions.

Thanks,

Simon

Duck/duct/gaffer* tape is the answer.

You wrap a strip round the front feet, give a half turn so that the sticky side is out and wrap another one or two turns. Do that on both rubber feet.

Put the erg on the floor and stand on the front end.

It won't move until you start pulling 1:15/500m low splits or lower.

I actually place a rug under the feet so it WILL slide on the hw floor. Doing this makes me focus on how much my slide is checking the boat (erg).

How does it do that?
(I'm assuming, so could be wrong, that you try to keep the whole thing in place.)

If you manage to move in the other direction (opposite the flywheel), are you considering that considered 'better'?

Thanks, I'll try using the tape, I have some that's sticky on both sides, so that's easier still.

Is anything as strong as gaffer tape? It has a dark side, it has a light side and it holds the universe together. It has the force.
