I was wondering -
What advantage does the PM4 give the home user. The only real difference I saw was the upgrade potential. What kind of upgrades might we be talking about here? Is there something in the works? Otherwise the $150 could be spent on accesories (3rd party software for example). I was just wondering if anyone here was in the know.
Looking forward to getting a CII after all these years of lusting over one.
Thank you in advance,
difference in PM3 and PM4

1. Rechargable battery.

4. Connectors for wired venue racing

I don't care much for HR monitoring, but the Suunto belt supplied with the Model E is quite nice, the PM4 stores the ID on your log card so it knows who's who when a couple are in use, but using my normal pulse counting at the end of a piece gave me values close enough for my purposes, which was nice to have confirmed. That said, if I do use the belt then I don't have to bother with writing anything down as it's recorded for me. not quite sure if that's a good thing or not at this point.

I already have a polar monitor
The Suunto is not that important to me therefore.
With the PM3 you need to buy the additional reciever if you want HR to show on the monitor if I read things correctly though. Still, the $150 would cover that cost and one of the 3rd party software packages.
Thanks for the quick response
