Had my model E pm5 serviced and the company said, amongst other things, they have changed:
2 new chain
3 new flywheel bearings
4 new clutch
5 new 17mm axel bearing
6 new sprocket
Now i have it back it seems no different (perhaps that is a good thing). Question; how can i check that these items have been replaced for new ones?
New v old parts
Re: New v old parts
Short of taking it apart and comparing the items with new ones out of a packet I'm not sure you could if you didn't see things being replaced directly.
Was there a reason you had it serviced - eg something felt wrong - or just because it needed some TLC?
a well designed machine should feel the same on worn (but not broken) items as on new - so I'm not surprised there's no difference in how it feels.

The chain would be the simplest to examine, but as far as dramatic changes in how it behaves, noise level might be the best. Also, damper lever position vs drag factor could possibly tell you if they cleaned it. Finally, some places will return the old parts they removed.
If all is well I would not worry about it.

Now would be a great time to get in the habit of oiling the chain every month or so. 3-in-ONE oil or other 20w oil.
Worn chain and sprocket would be from lubrication. Since they didn't also hit the shock cord they thought they were fixing something.
Excellent set of parts to replace. Assuming the installed cost was less then price of a new erg you did ok.
