My PM 4 is bricked, there's no display and no longer recognised as a USB device. I tried the reset combo with the Units,Display+buttons 1&5 - tried a different computer etc This happened during a firmware update so assuming I've lost the bootloader.
Does anyone have a duff PM4 but with a working PCB in it they want to sell on (DM me), or any suggestions about recovering the bootloader welcome?

Re: Bricked PM4
You may be able to access the bootloader using the magic key sequence below (courtesy Concept2).
--
Unplug the USB cable from the PM3 and your computer
Quit the Concept2 Utility software and restart it
Put the PM5 into flash loader mode:
Simultaneously press and hold the Units button, as well as the first and fifth gray buttons on the right (see image)
While holding these buttons, reset the monitor using a paper clip and the reset button on the back of the monitor.
Release the buttons when the PM displays "Concept2 Flash Loader”
Plug the PM5 into the computer and start a firmware update

Re: Bricked PM4
Its a PM4 but you can try it.
I would leave the batteries out of it for 24 hours and fit 2 brand new batteries and you should get something come up on the screen.
If its a 1st Gen PM4 made before 2007, its pretty much had its day anyway and its time to buy a new PM5.
If you still have a blank screen it's toast.

There is a guy in the UK that repairs them by the name of Simon Gisborne, he has a service listing on E-Bay.
