Hi, I just bought this old Model C on marketplace for my wife and she's questioning of it's authentic or if it's a different machine with a concept 2 monitor fitted to it. I checked the website but I can't seem to find a serial number anywhere on it. There's also no Concept 2 branding on the actual machine (for this model its usually on the seat slider).
Any insight would be appreciated!

Looks exactly like a model C to me. The monitor may have been replaced with a PM3 (rather than an old PM2/PM2+).
Re: Old Concept 2 Model C - real or modified?
Yes, I believe the PM3 was introduced with the Model D. But you could get it as a retrofit for the Model C.
The serial number is just a sticker, so could've been removed.

It's identical to my C type, bought about 20 years ago.

Yup, that's a C model. i have one I replaced the monitor with a PM5 and refurbed the bearings/chain/shock cord. About the o ly thing I truly despise are the heel slashers but I get around that by rowing in shoes.
