I also think the issue you'll have is that erging shoes are naturally normal width heels, so there's no reason to make wider stirrups, as I'd honestly think that hardly anyone would want them, so there's no business case.
I know it's not ideal, but can you wear different shoes on days that you erg, or leave a pair at the gym?
