Best seat pad for height at the catch

Seat pads... what's the best one to add height?

This isn't for comfort; it's to improve my catch angle and length.*

I see a lot of recos for the Citius Remex but it doesn't seem to increase height. Citius owners--am I right or wrong?

The RowingPad (www.rowingpad.com) looks good but I think I'd have to buy two: one for the erg, one for the water. RowingPad owners--what's the difference? Their site doesn't say.

Any other recos? I've been using my own cut-out from camping foam but my legs are falling asleep, even after cutting out holes for the sitz bones.

*I need a pad to compensate for my longer legs / shorter torso. I'm doing flexibility work plus Romanian dead lifts and Bulgarian split squats, and the footplates on my C2 are as low as they can go. Despite all this, I still need more height.

I am a bit surprised that you need more height as your 6'4". I found any padding raised me too high and I had a tendency to come off the seat too easily when trying to increase the pace past a medium effort / stroke rate, but I might well be a different ratio of upper / lower body.

Are you sure that there isn't another underlying issue? How quickly do your legs fall asleep? I've certainly had enough time on the erg to test if it's also an issue for me, but it's never happened.

Also a 6'4er but I have very poor ankle mobility so still have 3 holes worth of footstretcher sticking up, as my compromise with heel lift and shin angles..

I have a c2 pad with the cutouts sat on top of a gel pad (https://www.crewroom.co.uk/products/crewroom-seat-pad), which has stopped the pain I was feeling - I also totally changed my sit down procedure, because even with both pads it wasn't enough and I was still getting right leg numbness.

Now I line up my seat pads - they're not "fixed/attached" so they do move a little during longer sessions
Sit down with my feet on the floor and lean forward at the hips to make sure I've got my spine upright.
then - this is the big change that cured my numbness - I strap in, slide forward to the catch, and "manually" find and align my sitz in the holes while compressed.
I keep lent forwards and go up/down the slide a few times just to bed things in.

Before I'd get the sitz aligned for straight legs, and that caused the nerves to get pinched at the catch and caused my foot to go numb

Hi was looking at your post and thought I'd suggest this to you. I bought this on Amazon a few years ago for my tailbone that I chipped. When I got the rower I started using it for that. It's perfect. I have degenerative disk disease, sciatica and chipped tailbone and find this wedge pillow helps with my issues. I'm not tall but I do have bones in my bottom and know what hurts when not protected and have dealt with leg numbness. So maybe this could help? I lay it on the rower seat, sit down, strap my feet in and slide the rail and adjust the cushion so it's protecting my pressure points before rowing. Haven't had an issue since. That exact model I have is not available on Amazon right now but others there that seem comparable. It is not gel. It is memory foam. But it's the perfect mix of firmness yet softness to cushion the tushion.
Hope this can help you and others as I've suffered many years with sitting issues

This one adds quite a bit of height if you are looking for something for the erg. I wouldn't recommend it for on the water as it might take FOREVER to dry. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072P ... UTF8&psc=1
