I'm a long time sculler and Concept 2 user.
I recently made a modification to the indoor machine to provide resistance training when bending the legs to return to the starting position.
It involves a series of 4 door springs, a stainless steel cable, and a pulley. The attached video will illustrate the setup.
I have been using it for a few months and have found it to really strengthen my calf and hamstring muscles while I row.
You can make it stronger or weaker by adding springs or a bungee cord.
I tried to attach a 128k file and am told it's too large.

Concept 2 mod to strengthen Hamstring & Calf Muscles
Re: Concept 2 mod to strengthen Hamstring & Calf Muscles
It would be easier, and probably just as effective, to raise the front of the rower an inch or two. Way less hardware too.
