Finding a floor mat that is big enough to be used with slides

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a floor mat that is big enough to fit under a model D erg on slides? The mat that C2 sells appears to be too small to be used with slides and I would like to find something that primarily catches sweat but can also protect/keep clean the carpet beneath the erg (and is a little more attractive than just sticking a tarp under it).

C2 says "To use a pair of Slides with one indoor rower, we recommend a space of 11’ x 4’."

I use this mat under my bike. Its 5 ft long (60 in x 30 in x 0.125 in). Maybe two of them? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004I ... UTF8&psc=1

In any case, beware of the cheap stuff. It can breakdown and discolor your floor/carpet. I read reviews until I found a mat that didn't have problems. Mine is a year old and no problems yet.

Or use a 10 ft carpet runner and just plan on tossing it if it gets nasty. Some nice patterns are available, google it. Here's an example https://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?key ... pet+runner

I have a model C on slides. I have a yoga mat under the area where my body is located. On slides, the body stays pretty much horizontally stationary. That is all that is really needed.

Thank you both. All good ideas.

The carpet runner is a brilliant idea--I can buy it cut to whatever length needed from the ACE hardware store down the block from me. It's cheap and can be replaced easily when it gets disgusting.

I was going to suggest any of the interlocking type of mats.
Pieces are usually about a foot or so square and you can make about any dimension you want.

Carpet runner does seem like a brilliant idea.
