Recording data with multiple users

Hi All
I used to use the concept 2 back in the day and am now after years away getting back into it.
I have a new rower with PM5 and I use the ergdata app. All of my workouts get recorded onto the app and then uploaded to the log.
I don't use a memory card in the PM5 so as I understand it row data doesn't get stored on the PM5.
My Questions is, am I right in thinking as long as my phone is not connected to the PM5. data will not get recorded onto the app even when I connect on the next session, I ask because my wife will soon be using the rower as well and obviously I don't want her data getting recorded on the PM5 somehow and then sent to my app when I next log on.
thanks in advance

You can't use a memory card with a PM5. The only option is a USB stick for each user (if you want to go that way).

The better option is each users gets a copy of Ergdata on their mobile phone and connects that to the PM5 before starting each workout. You get full stroke by stroke data that way (which is more than you ever got on a memory card).

There is NO risk of getting someone else's data as long as you close the Ergdata app when you're done.

Citroen is right (as always!), ErgData is perfect for your situation. And it works on any PM5, connecting in much the same way as a heart rate monitor, via Bluetooth. This means that not only can you each use your personally owned rower, but if you happen to be out and about and use a Concept 2 rower in a gym or friend’s house, you can log your workout there, as well. It’s a great app, and logging it to the C2 site give you both a backup to the info logged on your PM5, and a really nice, in depth look into each workout with splits and graphed info that is even better than what’s on the app.

My wife and I have been using ours for six months, and it keeps our data flawlessly (and separately!).
