Double Knocking Noise When Pulling Rower

Hi There,

I have a Concept 2 Model C, and over the last few weeks / months there have been a knocking sound when I pull hard on the rower.

I have been in contact with Concept 2, but yet to identify what the issue is. I have taken the flywheel off cleaned everything, I have oiled the chain. I have replaced the bearings both sides of the fly wheel as well as the fly wheel Axel ( not the sprocket yet ).

The knocking can be felt through the handle. it knocks two, almost periodically at the same two times on each hard pull.

I saw an old discussion about this, but no one had posted a solution.

Any one had a similar issue and solved it ?

You probably replaced the standard bearings in the flywheel but not the clutch bearing ?

The pull hard when it occurs is the give away I suspect the clutch bearing is slipping when you load it up.

Make sure you haven't any seized links in the chain. They can give a sensation of clunking at the same place each stroke.
