replace PM5 or?

Hello! Would really appreciate your suggestion here.

The PM5 monitor would only come on intermittently even with a pair of fresh batteries. I spoke with the sales rep and he suggested that I change the PM5 monitor; reading the troubleshooting section on Concept 2 website suggest I change the Power generator assembly. The price difference is quite significant. What are your thoughts?

No error message on PM5. Sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesn't. Thank you for your help!

Here in the UK (and the rest of Europe) the PM5 has at least a two year warranty (EU law). So I'd contact the vendor and ask them a "return merchandise authorisation (RMA)" for it. You should get it replaced under warranty.

The rules for warranty and replacement vary depending where you live.
