Does Concept 2 ever have sales? Annual? Holiday? Free shipping?
I'm looking at a Model D PM5, some accessories and clothing.

Never seen a "sale" as such. What does happen infrequently but regularly is that new rowers are used in major competitions and are available to purchase/take away from the venue at the end of the competition day - so still new enough for most having just been used for a few k on one day. Typically saves £100 in the UK (eg after BRIC in December) - not sure on the norms for the US or Europe.

Be very careful if you see a discounted new C2 rower it is almost certainly not something to trust.

I got a discounted ex-comp rower at £100 discount, all boxed up and looked brand new with only 20k on the clock. Are you in UK?

Try Gumtree or Facebook for sale pages.
I live in France and got a 21 year old model C with Pm2 monitor for €150 off Facebook for sale page.
It only had 31km on the clock and after a good clean up and service which took me a couple of hours was running as smooth as you like.

Get yourself along to the World Indoor Champs. C2 sell all the (slightly used) race machines at the end of the day. There's usually a publicity caravan selling accessories and clothing. (Not that I've been since Boston in 2009.)

C2 in the USA usually has "factory seconds" available at reduced prices. These machines are fully guaranteed like a new machine but may have some cosmetic issues or may be slightly used. The sales policy for these FS machines used to be that you had to pick them up at the factory, but I think this may have changed in the last year so you should give them a call. Also note that Amazon sells the C2 ergs- usually at the same price as buying direct from C2 but occasionally they don't charge shipping. JonW

I can testify that, if you want to buy refurbs units or slightly used, you have to pick them up at the factory directly. They don’t ship those. I’ve just emailed them this week to know if they have refurb SkiErg and they replied saying yes and that I have to pick it up at the factory. I’m in Canada and Concept 2 is at 2.5 hours from my home ! Lucky me !
