Re: Garmin Connect.
Link your C2 online logbook to your Garmin account. Then your rows will be automatically transferred to Garmin Connect as soon as they are uploaded to the logbook from Ergdata.
Example here, in Garmin Connect:
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activ ... BBba4.link
Same row in C2 online logbook:

Re: Garmin Connect.
OK, I did a comparison of what you get with ErgIQ (third-party ConnectIQ app on the wearable,) ErgData (smartphone app that syncs with Garmin Connect) and Garmin's native "Row Indoor" activity on a wearable. (note: these were all on a Forerunner 935, Galaxy S7, and an up-to-date PM5 performance monitor)
Three albums:
You'll have to decide which data presentation is more important to you - every option has a trade-off.
Three albums:
- ErgIQ third-party ConnectIQ app on Garmin wearable - data from the PM5 on power, speed, power, stroke rate are saved in "ConnectIQ" fields, not Garmin's native fields.
- ErgData smartphone app - note the "Training Effect" data is blank as the activity wasn't logged "on" the wearable, though there's a lot of other data available, natively no less, that was logged by the PM5
- "Row Indoor" Garmin native activity on the watch - missing distance until manually entered, no wattage or other details from the PM5 (obviously, as the native app doesn't connect to the PM5 like ErgIQ or ErgData do)
You'll have to decide which data presentation is more important to you - every option has a trade-off.
Re: Garmin Connect.
Hi thanks.
I have ergdata on S9+. And s7 before linked (wired) to pm5
I also have my Fenix 5 on row and hr linked.... I believe 5 has known problems with linking.
On connect I get hr and Sr. But now power.... I assume from watch, not ergdata
I have tried unsuccessfully to link ergiq on whatch.... But I think it linked with my 1000 bike comp. ... I don't want to take all this to gym and try and link it all... Including bt for music
Thanks bob
Seems deficient that all parameters are not available... Including vo2 for rowing

Re: Garmin Connect.
Bob, it seems that you are avoiding the option which was mentioned by both me and Cjottawa:
Link your C2 Online Logbook to Garmin Connect.
(I assume you have already linked Ergdata with your C2 Online Logbook, so row sessions from Ergdata can be uploaded to the C2 Online Logbook when completed.)
By doing this, you will not get training effect nor calories nor individual splits. But you will get all the data which you asked for in your first post.

Re: Garmin Connect.
Good informative post! I hadn't yet discovered the linking capapbility between C2 logbook and Connect or even Strava. Being a pretty hardcore MTB rider, Strava has been my "go to" for inventory of all my rides since my beginning riding 5 years ago as recovery from a severe neck injury. From an erg standpoint, it really sucked and was disappointing because it all had to be done manually and even at that, data was meager at best. I just gave up on it. I linked to both Garmin Connect and Strava last night after reading this and it's awesome. I also wear a Vivoactive but the using that for the erg has proven cumbersome so I just don't bother but understand, it's not as capable as the nicer Garmin wearables. It gets the job done for my other desired tasks, though.
Re: Garmin Connect.
Allan.... Hi
My mistake in my post.... I have linked ergdata to c2 logbook and then through logbook to garmin connect.... But no power matrices !

Re: Garmin Connect.
OK. Do you see a power curve in the logbook?
If not, do you have a USB stick in the PM5? I honestly don't know if that will make a difference, but I know that having a Logcard in my PM3 will prevent the power curve from being uploaded to the logbook from Ergdata.

4th tab of the ErgData-sourced entry in Garmin Connect, scroll to bottom for Power graph, Watts over time:

Re: Garmin Connect.
Yes, but he will not get those data in Garmin Connect if he doesn't have a power curve in the C2 logbook.
And it is possible to get data with no power curve into the logbook from Ergdata. You can see an example here: https://log.concept2.com/profile/1181099/log/35016717
So checking that there is a power curve in the C2 logbook would be a good first step in troubleshooting.

Re: Garmin Connect.
You never answered my question about the USB stick.
Anyway, this is how it looks when you have a power curve (well, actually, there is only a pace curve, but the power will be visible when it is synced to Garmin Connect):
https://log.concept2.com/profile/1181099/log/35118183
Notice that there is a large diagram in the lower left corner. This is what you need if you want power into Garmin Connect.
...and this is how it looks when you have no curves:
https://log.concept2.com/profile/1181099/log/35016717
There is no diagram in the lower left corner. You don't want this to happen.
So which of the two examples do you see in your logbook?
If you want us to look at the workout, you can make the workout shareable by clicking at the "Change" link in the right side of the screen which says "Visible to xxxx. Change", just above the Facebook symbol, and choose "Everyone". Then you can post the link to the workout here.

Hi. I admit to being a dumbwhit when it comes to these matters... And most others...
But it appears to me that despite the logbook saying I am connect is getting info from femix 5
Is there a way of checking or forcing info from logbook to connect
Thanks
