Handle holder

Post by Donnie » March 24th, 2017, 5:00 pm

Ok dumb question maybe. I ordered the wooden handle and love it. The question is, is there a different holder to rest the handle on for the wooden handle? The one for the plastic handle will not hold the wooden handle well at all. If so I need to order one. Thanks for any help.

Think you need model A, B, and C handle hook #1754.

I can't find this critter in the current parts lists. As pictured, this version does not have the prominent sidewalls of the later keeper which interfere with storing your wood handle.

The later handle was improved with plastic lips on the top to help retain the handle. The earlier handle is just straight up and down so the handle flicks out of it easier but is also annoying if you bump the handle it comes out and fly's forward.

I have a couple of them I don't need.

I've had a Model C with the original wooden handle and black plastic holder for ages, and in my experience they work quite well. Of course the holder is merely for temporary use when actively rowing, and when I'm done I move the handle as far forward as it can go.
