iPAD mount designed for the PM4

Post by DCLArower » November 16th, 2016, 11:25 pm

I was wondering if anyone has discovered a reliable off the shelf iPAD mount designed for the PM4? I've done some searching on the forums, and while I have uncovered some dual use products that would fit the bill (very creative members on this forum), I wasn't sure if there existed a mount that was designed specifically for the PM4. Anyone know if Concept2 plans to make a cradle that fits more than a smart phone? Thanks

If only Concept2 could continue production of old smartphone cradle, it would suit both iphone and ipad

**Update**

A friend from a local in-door row club told me that they use a mounts from ROWFREE when they do Saturday open rows. Said they do the job well and were well priced.

I purchased a rowfree mount, it is very easy to install and works well for holding my iPad. It is well designed.

When using an iPad with the RowFree mount is it low enough that you could hit it with the chain?

I am 6'2" and haven't hit it with the chain at all. It is adjustable, can be set as low or high as you want.

I've had the rowfree mount since last spring and haven't experienced any problems. I use it on my PM5 but they also make one that fits the PM3 and 4. Good product, looks slick and is very practical for holding my iPad or phone. As far as smacking the chain, there is plenty of clearance.

Have you seen those green sticky pads designed to stick your phone to your car dashboard? They're removable and rinse with water to reuse.

Imagine one of those would hold an iPad onto the top of the frame below the chain guard no problem.

I sit my phone there with ErgData and it never moves - and that's without a sticky pad or anything

Iphone on beam between feet should be safe. IPad on the beam at the chaingate will be Ipad with broken screen sooner or later.

Thanks for the Rowfree tip! Ordered one for my Surface Pro running Rowpro. I wish Digital Rowing would release a Rowpro app for iPad/iPhone, that would be perfect.
