Storage space required for D and E

Hi All, I'm undecided whether to get the Model D or E, solely based on the storage space required when the units are not in use.

I have limited space in my apartment, therefore require to fold and store it while erg is not in use. Could anyone with experience/insight please let me know whether the difference is considerable between the D and E when it comes to how much storage space is required?

I prefer the PM4 with either one because I could pair it with my Garmin 910. Where I'm purchasing and based on the price it's more cost effective go with the E with default PM4. Only concern is the storage space.

Thanks a lot and would really appreciate a reply before Thursday so I could take advantage of an ongoing promotion price. :)

The measurements are on the specification pages for each of the models.

Looks like the Model E is about 6 inches higher. I don't know if you really need to fold it (I assume you mean disassemble) when you can just park it upright which would use up less floorspace than folding it and be much faster.

Here it is in one package for easy comparison:

According to Bob S.'s information the Model E take up more than a foot extra distance in one dimension so if space is that critical it looks like Model D is your choice to go with (again, assuming you don't just park it upright). If you want/need the extra height that a Model E gives you then you could always get some blocks to put the erg up on top of when you set it up.

OarC and BoB S. Thank you so much for your responses. About to pull the trigger on a Model D with PM4.

Happy Rowing! :)
