Help...monitor isn't detecting flywheel!

Hi,

My rowing machine isn't detecting the flywheel, what could this be?

If you have a PM3/PM4 monitor then first check that it is configured for the correct model.
Main menu --> More Options --> Utilities --> Product ID will display that.

If it is wrong then Main menu --> More Options --> Utilities --> LCD Contrast
Once you're on the LCD Contrast menu then press [CHANGE UNITS] three times followed by [CHANGE DISPLAY] three times and the hidden menu appears where you can set/correct the model.

If the model is correct then the problem is hardware.
There's a wire that runs from the flywheel sensor to the monitor with a 2.5mm phone jacl plug on it. That goes into the socket on the back of the PM2/PM2+ or underside of the PM3/PM4

If you have a multimeter then check the sensor for resistance, it should NOT show as open circuit.

Your going to have to post a whole lot more info than that. What model rower is it and what model PM monitor do you have ?
