Hi, sorry if this one has been answered before...
My Model C with PM2 was a happy creature until Wednesday. I put it back in the shed after it's last use on Saturday, got it out, found a leak had developed in the roof and there was a little splatter patch on the top of the flywheel casing and a bit more on the back of the monitor (since it was stored upright). Tried it, monitor turned on fine, but no response when I started rowing - the numbers didn't move off 0:00.0... Bad times. I have had it in the house for the last two days, tried moving it to test it an hour ago, no joy. Screen was blank, didn't turn on. I replaced the batteries and it came on, but still no response from the handle. I went back to it a minute ago, screen dead again, not even fixed with (yet more) fresh batteries this time...
Is there anything I can do myself to try to fix this?

Re: PM2 not responding
Try a four finger reset. If that doesn't fix it you may be looking for a new or s/h PM3 or PM4.

Take the back off and put it in the airing cupboard and dry it out.
You may also need to take the board out so you can remove the rubber keypad.
It probably just still has water in it that is affecting the operation.

Re: PM2 not responding
Dried it out nicely, took it to bits, scraped and brushed all the blue crud (copper hydroxide?) off... the screen was back, but missing the bottom two sides of the main numbers... eventually, after everything was spotless, prodding and poking various parts changed the outcome either way, both gaining the missing lines and losing more. I finally realised that the way I held the board itself was affecting it, and by flexing the board I could restore the full display. Screwed it together gently, made sure the screen was still fully functioning as I did so, and it's back together and responding to the input fine.
Cheers for the help guys!
