Hey everyone,

First time poster here. My name's josh, I'm a crossfiter from Dallas, OR.

I'm having an issue with my PM3: it either won't turn on or the display is dead. I've been keeping the rower in my garage gym which is not exposed to weather at all except for some very mild condensation when it rains heavily (rare) and when it gets to freezing temps (also rare). And it usually is kept covered with a heavy moving blanket. I used it a week ago and was working fine. I then checked it out today and found it won't turn on. I replaced the batteries twice with no success. I then plugged it in to my computer for the first time and was recognized immediately and under properties said it was functioning properly. Any ideas?

Undo the four screws that hold the back of the monitor case to the front.

Check the contacts (anchored to the back of the case) are touching the circuit board (which is screwed down to the front of the case).

When the PM3 is hooked up to a live USB port on your computer it's getting power from the computer, you can power it with a USB "phone charger" wall wart.

Citroen, thanks for the advice, but unfortunately it didn't work.

I'm wondering if perhaps there may have been some moisture that could have accumulated inside the casing. At the same time, though, it couldn't be anything more than mild condensation; and I'd be surprised to see that that's enough to ruin a circuit board when a cell phone can be submerged under water and dried out with rice and a hair drier and work just fine.

Thanks for the info. I was having this trouble at the local gym and, of course, they were clueless. I did as suggested and everything works as expected.
