PM 5 won't switch off.

Hi,

Ever since I changed the batteries in my PM5 it will not switch off, I've tried the following:-

1. downloaded version 20 of the firmware.
2. tried holding the menu button in and then releasing, switches off but comes back on again.
3. tried pressing the menu button 4 times in quick succession, switches off but comes back on again.
4. tried the reset button.

The backlight goes off after a few seconds.

Anybody got anymore suggestions of what I can try before I contact Concept?

Several things that will keep a PM5 on:
* key stuck in the depressed position
* connected to an iphone, android or ergdata via Bluetooth- as long as there is a BT connection the monitor will stay on
* connected to a Garmin ant watch
* Hidden feature may keep the monitor on for up to 12 hours- go to Main Menu/more options/utilities/battery and make sure there is no "12 HOUR TIMEOUT" showing. If it is, press the Units key three times followed by pressing the Display key three times to turn it off.

Thanks for your reply C2JonW.

I tried all those things you suggested with no luck, so I contacted C2 Tech Support in England.

They are going to send me a replacement monitor.

power to USB (B) will keep it on

mine is plugged into a computer (rowpro) which supplies the usb port with 5V even in standby.
