Hi,
I have a question regarding the space requirements of the model D or model E, the web site states:
---
Space Requirements
Assembled: 8 ft x 2 ft (244 cm x 61 cm)
With Clearance for Use: 9 ft x 4 ft (274 cm x 122 cm)
---
In my bedroom, I have approximately 250cm/8,2ft (at most, I'd rather have some room left and go for something like 220cm/7,2ft for my new rower) available. What are the limitations that I'll have when I'm 24cm/0.8ft on the short side for use? Does it even make sense to consider it with these space constraints? I know the Dynamic would probably be a good fit for the space constraints in my room, but I'm not sure whether I would like it.
Thanks for your help
Ben
Model D or E space requirements
Re: Model D or E space requirements
8 x 2 feet is the overall size of the machine. If tall you'll need extra space for your shoulders, and to stand it on end or wheel it around if needed. So long as it's stationary, keep the fan inlet away from the wall.
The Dynamic is smaller but there's no reason why you should like either. A good stroke has to be learnt on all machines, this is what hardens the work and gets us fit.
The Dy has a wider rating range, from below 18 to 60. Very little effort is needed for body movement so it can be more satisfactory energy-wise, not only at high ratings, if you learn how to put the extra work into the handle.
