Heart Rate Issue with PM3

Hi,

I have a PM3, iPod Touch Gen 5, Cable from PM3 to iPod Touch, Ergdata App and a Polar H7.

The problem I have is that the heart rate on the ergdata app doesn't show. The H7 is definitely connected via bluetooth as it works with other apps such as Motifit.

I can't work out whether the H7 is actually supported/supposed to work with the ergdata app. All apps/firmware is up to date.

Any ideas?

PM3 does not have Bluetooth. You need the wired heart rate dongle to use a HR monitor with the PM3.

Thanks for responding. Not sure whether I am getting confused here but I am trying to get my heart rate on to the ergdata app not the PM3. I thought that used bluetooth to connect Polar H7 and ergdata app. The PM3 and ergdata app are synchronising workouts etc all fine. I assumed the fact that the motofit app can get my heart data with the Polar H7 would mean that the ergdata one should be able to also?

There is no wireless connectivity with the PM3. The PM4 is different it has ANT+ wireless connectivity but still no Bluetooth. Bluetooth only recently arrived with the new PM5 and even then it sounds like a certain version of Bluetooth. Ergdata sounds like work in progress and at some point should be able to synch the wireless HR to the rest of the information coming in via the cable ?

Simon, did you ever get to the bottom of this? Like you, I believe that I should be able to see my HR from my Wahoo Tickr on the ErgData app (Android) hooked up to my PM3, but I can't get it to pair up even though all other apps work fine.
