How to make my C2 model C feel better?

Hello all. I've got a well-maintained Model C that for the past few weeks has been feeling ragged. I oil the chain regularly, keep the monorail clean and de-fluff the fan cage regularly, but the chain feels like it's grating against something and something's just not quite right.
Any ideas about the problem and what I can do to return her to her former, smooth glory?
Thanks.
PW

Mine had similar problems recently and then a couple of days ago the cord snapped that retracts the handle. You might want to check and see if yours is frayed and catching

Make sure the moving parts inside the cage aren't rubbing anywhere. I had a perfectly good Model C that had that issue because it was missing a screw in the cage that was causing a rub as you row. Easy fix.

Thanks guys. Will check both of these and see if they're causing the issue.
Much appreciated.

The text quoted above will look better if you put square bracketed "img" codes before and after in your signature, like this:

Also, make sure BBCode is turned on in your profile.
Nice times, by the way!

Let's see if this works. Thanks for the tips. Just getting back into rowing after 6 months off with a bad lumbar injury, so I appreciate the encouragement!

Ok, one more shot at it. Uggh. Not sure if I'm more frustrated by the signature block or the fact the times haven't improved in a year or more!
