Hi.
I went to see a Model C and held the OK key and the arrowhead. The distance was a mere 8042. What if the battery on a PM2 monitor is replaced? Would this cause the monitor to reset its recorded history? I'm asking because I can't believe how little has been clocked up. The machine is in very good condition, so perhaps it was a true reading.
Thanks.

Re: Confirming a PM2 history
If that was the non-resettable odometer then the machine has 8 million metres on it.
Non-resettable
Hold down [OK] and then press [->] to display cumulative distance rowed. This odometer is not resettable. Distance is in kilometers and is only displayed while the buttons are being pressed.

The Odometer on a PM2 is resettable so you cannot take the distance to be 100% reliable.
The meters are held in a non volitile EEPROM so changing the batteries or batteries going flat doesn't matter.
The meters are reset to zero after a "4 finger reset".
