LiveRowing Connect is used to connect your iPhone or iPod Touch to the Concept2 Performance Monitor. This cable will make a tethered connection between your Performance Monitor(PM) and your iDevice. The LiveRowing Connect cable connects the PM3, PM4 and PM5

It says you can order it in the Concept2 app, and when I go to order it, it’s perpetually out of stock….

Its not been available from C2 for some time (years), but it is still available direct from Liverowing here -https://liverowing.com/store. Its expensive ... and you may get import duties if you're not in the US, but its where I bought mine and it arrived OK in the UK.

However I'd suggest its worth thinking about putting the money towards a PM5 instead of the cable. PM5 will connect to your iPhone/iPad with bluetooth and no cable required. And of course its a better PM than the earlier ones that it replaced.

To be clear you need this cable ONLY IF YOU ARE USING AN APPLE DEVICE.

Android users (phone, kindle, tablets) get to use $5 parts from amazon. You do not need the LiveRowing connect cable. Look for a USB OTG printer cable with a plug that fits your device.

I use a cable with my kindle fire running ErgData (micro USB to printer OTG cable) because of data loss/corruption issues one every month or so when using bluetooth LE. The next release of ErgData is expected to fix the data loss problem, so I may go back to bluetooth then. So far, with the cable, no data loss issues.

Ok…. Question. I have the PM4. Is that screen / box able to be switched out? I’m perfectly happy with my rower otherwise. This info you posted is very helpful.

Sell the PM4 on an auction site, buy a new PM5. Job done. Nothing more needed than a spanner (aka wrench).

Yep, wot Citroen said. The PM5 is a direct replacement for the PM4. Maybe worth noting that the PM5 does not have a card reader, so if you store any significant amount of data on cards, then you'll need to keep the PM4 to be able to read them. You can use a USB memory stick on the PM5 for the same purpose. Overall though, best to simply maintain a log with C2, and sych from ergdata, saves a lot of Pfaff!
