total/monthly total discrepancy

Post by Bob S. » June 4th, 2011, 11:01 pm

I erased my logcard at the end of last season, so I started out the month of May from scratch. At the end of the month, I took a look at the summary and the monthly totals and found that the overall total (the so-called “lifetime total,” i.e. the lifetime of the card since its last erasure) is 45111meters, but the monthly totals show only 45020meters for the month of May. Now I wonder what happened to the missing 91 meters on the monthly total. I suppose that there has been some rounding off somewhere, but I wonder which figure was affected and in what way. No big deal actually. I have no real need for the numbers. I am just curious.

Yes, the numbers are quite low. I have yet to do a real workout on the erg this season. The 23 workouts listed in the summary were just my daily 10minute pre-physical therapy pieces. Those should be called warm-ups rather than workouts. Even on those, it is obvious that I missed 8 days out of May’s 31.

Ah yes! The 100m tolerance. I'll just chalk it up to another pump head moment.

Well, that's better than attributing it to senile dementia.
