Online Logbook - Inaccurate Interval Stats

Post by dcoakley » May 21st, 2011, 5:51 pm

Just have a question about using the online logbook correctly. I recently purchased the Concept II logcard and have tried a number of set piece exercises. It seems to work fine using the 'Single Time' or 'Single Distance' settings. However, when I use Intervals, my stats get averaged out over the rest period.

For example, I did 12 x 30 second sprints, with 30s rest between each. On the logcard utility, I get the correct average time over the 6mins I was actually rowing. However, once I uploaded it to the online logbook, the time was increased to 12minutes and my average split obviously reduced drastically. This also happened with the 1k interval pieces I tried to upload today. Any solutions?

Thanks,
Dan

The logbook website handles intervals by summing all the metres reps and resting metres and all the time rep time and interval time. It's done that since the LogCard started being able to upload workouts automatically.

I've moaned at C2 in the past that it's entirely illogical and their answer at the time was that folks logging metres like their total metres to be correct even if it means that interval workout are logged as nonsense.

They need to add extra function to the logbook to a) provide a proper Web 2.0 API and b) enhance recording of intervals.
