I've looked around in the forum but am still looking for an explanation.
The three C2 model C's at my gym are equipped with PM3 monitors and are all giving a max drag reading of about 80. Maybe they just need to be cleaned, but it doesn't "feel" like a df of 80 either. The ergs just feel slow, and in fact my efforts don't seem to be rewarded like they usually are.
Could all this be resolved by vacuuming the vents, or do I need to check if the PM3 is in fact set for a model C? I thought that dirty vents could explain a low df, but not an inaccurate df.
Low drag factor and slow pace?

Re: Low drag factor and slow pace?
Most likley they just need a clean.
I have not had a PM3 work at all on a Model C unless you change it from the D/E setting to the B/C setting.
Go to the Product ID screen and you can see what model it is set for.
Old Gym machnines really are no good for anything than the casual user or a bit of training. They can feel terrible or the chain and sprocket is so far gone there is no way your going to acheive a high rating on it.
