Looking to buy PM2 Monitor

Post by napoleon1815 » October 7th, 2010, 10:15 pm

Hey all,

My Model C rower hasn't been used in ages...finally dusted if off to get back in shape. I left the batteries in...they did not leak, but one battery was slightly corroded. After new batteries, the screen is dim and almost impossible to read (numbers are cut in half).

Was hoping someone has an old PM2 to sell? Thanks!

Did you clean up the battery contacts in the monitor. Sometimes that can make a difference. If you haven't, it is worth a try.

Your monitor is most likley going to need a service. Leaking batteries usually cause PCB track damage.

I would recommend a new PM3 if you cannot get it fixed, its a better monitor and can be connected to a PC to row Online.

I can fix your PM2 if your in New Zealand.

No luck. Looked pretty clean, put cleaned all I could with no difference.

Don't ask me how...but now it's working perfectly. I did nothing to it since I posted several days ago. Not sure why, but some things I guess are best left unanswered. Thanks all!
