For the 149.00 wondering if it is worth a try to help with balance while training on the erg. (http://www.coreperform.com)Anyone have thoughts on the device?
I also have read of "homemade" type rockers, anyone willing to show pictures to share their ideas.
Thanks so much!!

Re: Core Perform seat-Anyone ever try it? also homemade rock
Mmm not sure if I want to have to worry about balance on my Erg, how is that going to help my power transfered to the flywheel ?
No doubt great for the OTW guys for the improved "Feel" of the Erg ? perhaps having to control your balance would also help build your core muscles resulting in more power in the long term contradicting my first sentence ?
Currently just rebuilding my "Speed Seat" with some decent fitting 3/8 x 4 shoulder bolts, custom made alloy washers and sealed bearings. Probably money better spent for a "non-olympic gold medalist" like me.

Here is a photo of my homemade version. When I remove the wooden dowel the seat is stable. With the dowel in place as shown the seat can wobble from side to side. When I made it I didn't know that CorePerform was available. I think something like CorePerform does strengthen the core and helps with balancing a single if you are an on-the-water rower.
