I have been having similar issue with the C2E PM5 Bluetooth dropping out and my Samsung phone screen freezing and losing everything rowed to that point with the same 'row finished yes or no' pop up appearing.
This has been a nightmare during April as I have been taking part in the April Fools challenge and had to re-row 6k on day 13 which meant I rowed 19k in total that day.
I have just today 25/04/2022 received a new cradle and usb -c lead to printer type connection from Concept and based on today's row this seems to work fine nice and stable but will it be on test from now on. Last week the connection dropped out on Thurs & Fri after nearly 4k & nearly 6k into two longer rows.
The gym I use is council run and I am trying to get them to come and update the firmware but this is like pulling teeth.

Sorry to drag this topic back up... New owner of PM5 rower using Apple TV / iPad to run EXR and have had several drop-out of ANT+ data to Garmin watch used to record metrics. Looking at past posts, there seems to be common issues of simultaneous BT & ANT usage (I experience random drop of rowing power / stroke rate to watch), and tired using the USB cable without success, only to find that there is another thread telling me that C2 dropped the USB connection from the firmware some years ago. Is this correct? Has there been any further improvements to ANT connections? I am running fully up to date firmware on all devices...

Are you using the Garmin watch to broadcast HR data by any chance? Because having the PM5 (or OpenRowingMonitor for that matter) recieve ANT HR data and send ANT Rowingdata to the same device is problematic. As I see it, Garmin never intended to work like that.

Thanks for the reply. No, I'm not broadcasting HR, in fact, I take the watch off my wrist when rowing. I use the 'Row Indoor' activity on my Epix2 to connect to PM5 via ANT+ FE-C, connect my Garmin dual HR strap (ANT to PM5, happens to also connect to watch via BT). The PM5 connects to Apple TV using BT. It all works great most of the time... Whenever I have seen issues, it is almost always on my watch, power goes to zero, sometimes stroke distance sometimes stroke rate falters, but oddly, pace seems unaffected... EXR (therefor BT connection) seems unaffected. It sometimes recovers back to the watch but exiting the row on PM5 then re-connecting ANT to watch always solves it. It happens very randomly, I suspect interference but very difficult to prove, the PM5 seems fairly flaky with the simultaneous ANT & BT connections... I was going to go down the wired USB connection route to eliminate BT requirement but this seems to have been disabled and doesn't help if it's the ANT side at fault.
