I leiks it.
Looks clean. Any other data required is in the row pro logs for analysis.
Waiting for the api for to pull data from the dvd, but no biggy.

Just waiting for digital rowing to implement uploading to the logbook. Looks like it's server based anyway, saves having to update rowpro...

The automatic LogBook uploading in RowPro V5 will be a big bonus, not sure exactly how it will work though is it bi-directional ?, i.e does it Synchronize because sometimes I delete some rows from my RowPro logbook, usually really short test pieces when say repairing and testing monitors. Probably not a big deal but it does change the stats if they are not deleted in both.

The criticisms are by veteran rowers and are IMO justified. I say to Concept2, don't change unless you are going to improve across the board. Right now the changes are lacking. One only hope that they get the message and either finish or revamp their changes.
Indeed, I have 10 year data and with one stroke its 90% worthless..... :x and the stuff the left out seems so obvious. Ofcourse it should be possible to see in one glance what kind of training you did. If you don,t have that in, then the whole point of a logbook is gone.

Hopefully some features will be back soon, but I have my doubts, Most stuff people complain about are of zero use to me.

The uk site is more or less killed, now the logbook is on its way.

On the whole the website looks more modern now, but there are some poor layout designs.
First thing when I log in on to the log page, the "Add Workout" thing takes up almost the entire screen. That should really be hidden behind a button with a link.
Then, as people already mentioned, the way lists are laid out on the page is poor, with a lot of white space wasted on the right hand side of the page (for that used to be at the top of the screen is not taking up the right-hand side). So you end up with not enough list entries on the page.

However something I haven't seen mentioned yet - why has the week period been changed to Monday through Sunday? This used to be Sunday through Saturday, I prefer the old way, has any reason been given for the change?

The day the week starts on should, probably, be a user profile option because the USA & Canada (gets it wrong) as they start their week on a Sunday, whereas the rest of the World and the ISO standard week starts on a Monday.

The week start choice makes sense to me. The loss of historical content does not. Fresh wallpaper in empty rooms.

There is just no end of things missing.

Why has the LogBook never had a "Search" function to find the names of people and even yourself without having to trawl through loads of pages.

What about a little magnifying glass on the names column (instead if the word "sort" thats on the others) that you can click on and enter a name and it just jumps to the right page with the name highlighted. It is like trying to find something in a long Excel document without the CTRL-F function.

Also its okay to "Improve" things for mobile devices, however most people still have access to a big widescreen monitor and about 1/3 of it is wasted white space, plenty of room for a couple more columns of useful information.

Always looking for time savings, speed an accuracy and of course a validation system option for those that want to upload ALL their meters in a verified format like IND_V, Row File or C2 Logbook. Put a sort function on this yes/no column so it then ranks all the verified rowers by total distance.

Hi!

A logbook that has your name, city, birthdate and lots of personal (health) data should be HTTPS secured. This is the biggest disadvantage for me.

Does that count for an American system, hosted on an American server and ruled by American law?

actually - i agree.
the simple password challenge offered by c2 isn't all that secure.
but then if you were a "tin hatty*" (*my word for the paranoid), then you are probably better off not using any social platform.
the https protocoll still offers enough vulnerabilities to be able to hack without a lot of effort (seriously ? you just need to break into one of the 700 or so CA's available), but it would be better than none - getting a certificate is well withing the financial abilities of C2.

Got a mail from David, the text is back in, the problem was we have no more than 140 caracters in the text, so you can right a whole book, only the first 140 are visable, just like it was. A bit more spread out, with the text in one small colomn, but for me this is important. I can see what I did by browsing through the season.

I see that catering to thumbies with mobiles is the first priority. What's done is done. There is also a redo of rhe C2 Utility in the works. O Great C2, hear the prayer of thy supplicant! Please don't mess with the expansion of workout parameters there!

The part where you add comments, you had to click on it per session, it used to be open, this is for me more or less the most important feature. Here and only here I can put my training. Just meters done means often zero.
