Well, well, well! Look who showed up after almost 5 months of absence with only one post in that period. What's up man? Are you back on the UK forum again as well? I see that, in the last couple of days, they have been quoting, misquoting, and making a few snide comments about you over there - notably HUW. I was sort of wondering where you were hiding out in the virtual world. There had not been any mention of banishment, such as befell a certain other active UK forum member. And I don't think that banishment has ever been used on this forum. It isn't that I thought you were a candidate for that, it is just that the UK forum has been handing out a few short term bans lately, so it seems to be in style.

Just been taking a break from the forums. Haven't seen the snideness on the UK forum, seems about Huw's style, attack someone when they aren't around.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the quick response. I was just wondering where you had disappeared to. It is probably a good idea to take a break like that once in a while. I have managed to keep a sort of a lid on the time that I spend on the two forums, but it gets out of hand occasionally. The reading isn't too bad. I skip all the clubby-togetherness stuff on this forum and just follow a few juicy threads on the UK forum, but once in a while I get carried away and waste too much time on long-winded responses. And — yes — every so often (too often probably) I have to cut loose with a bit of senile sarcasm.

Ok, I recieved my seat adapter last Friday, been using it daily ever since, promised I would post my experience...............

I use it exclusively in the unstable 'mode'.
It is very easy to get used to.
I never once felt I needed to be strapped in. I thought for sure I would but it never happened.
If you start 'daydreaming' and your form suffers, you will begin to tip and wake right up.
I feel nothing in the obliques as the website claims, but that does not mean it is not helping. The big muscle groups do the work, the smaller ones we cannot generally feel make the little adjustments to keep our weight centerline, so it does not surprise me that I do not have any noticeable sore muscles in the oblique area. If I feel it anywhere, I would say the lower front of the calves when I am getting my centerline back after a short 'daydream'.

My overall opinion, I like it and I feel it will help me in the boats when the warm weather comes around.

This is all coming from a beginner, rowing less than 1 year and all of my on the water rowing is and always will be rec boats and trainers in whitecaps, wind and large boat wakes from a ton of motorboat traffic and no speed limits. No flat water here. I use a machine 6 days a week, 2k's and 5k's, depending on a lot of things.

I hope this helps some people make a decision if they are on the fence about buying a Core Perform and/or worried about stability.

I have a cp1 as well.

I mainly do on the water sculling in a 1x, but use the C2 periodically.

I don't think the balance on the cp1 is that realistic since on the 1x you are correctingfor any inbalance differently

HOWEVER, I found it awesome to identify whether I had an unequal strength leg drive (which I did but didn't know it) and to set my body earlier, which otherwise would create a wobble in the cp1.

So I am quite happy with it and use it.
