I feel like a Mac User after installing Vista

Maintenance, accessories, operation. Anything to do with making your erg work.

.Net can interact with HID devices (Vista comes with .net 3.0 preinstalled)
(search for c# HID on google)

Java can do the same thing with JNI but then its not cross platform so no advantage there.

BTW Eclipse is an IDE that can be used for lots of languages/frameworks
