change the world, start with you yourself

Post by joloo » February 12th, 2008, 6:17 am

i looked at the pics and i think you are extremely exagerating. I am a European and i am glad that we European customers don't react on problems concerning things we dislike like you do in your shops. As you might know, these articles like rowers are made in mass production and sometimes in China, and i don't know if you have ever been there, but their way of producing articles is way different than you and we do.

My advice to you..start rowing and think about more important things in life.

I work in an airplane and also sometimes get complaining people like you about nothing really big. I always think. "i hope noting really sad happens in your life like a loss of a person, because if you already cannot cope with these problems, how are you gonna survive the real problems like the loss of a friend......

Put your problems into perspective!

For the rest, buy another rower from another company and start sending messages on their forum....good luck finding a company that has such an extended website with help, tips, goodies, challenges and everything more.

But above all, dont forget, start changing the world.......by helping yourself first.....

They are still that way after several hours rowing so far.
Then your Concept2 must be in a "Clean Room" like environment! My rollers and rails get a nice little buildup of black crud on them after about an hour. I have put more than 2.5 million meters on my erg since I got it.

It's not a problem, it's just the dust and dirt in my house building up on the rollers combined with the sweat from my rippling body as I work out

I wipe it off with a damp towel and move on.

Can't we agree to differ?

People have different standards for their C2s. Some people put them in a garage others in their livingrooms. Clearly aesthetic considerations in these 2 situations vary!

I for one would be horrified if C2 were to put their inevitably limited resources into ensuring that blemishes were minimised. I would much prefer that they reduce the approximations in the monitors, add decimal point to SPM recording etc.

I'm pretty sure the black crude is from the plastic rollers running on the rail. It is common to use Delrin (a common plastic) bushings in many applications and they always turn black.

It's March 26th. Is there any resolution to this 'problem'? You would think the OP would have reported back by now.

Customer service issues ?

Post by WallyWyckoff » March 29th, 2008, 12:27 pm

I don't know if this is a related issue, but I've had a couple of problems myself.

I placed one order last Friday, March 21 - received a confirmation stating that the items would be shipped in 2-3 days - no shipping info has arrived yet. I am waiting to hear from Jennifer on this issue.

I placed another order early this week - the package arrived yesterday. The order - maintenance kit for Model C - was missing a couple of small bits (fasteners for 1 flexfoot toepiece instead of 2, fasteners for flywheel cover came with 3 screws instead of 4).

Not a big deal obviously, but not optimal either.

My Model D arrived today and it's perfect as well. No blemishes of any kind.

My box had holes in it - I was scared to unopen

Luckily for me rower was 99.9% perfect.

One small mark on paint in an obscure area from rubbing during shipping.
